Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a performer, writer, and actress in America for over 40 years. Her most well-known role is because of her portrayal as Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV show Gilligan's Island). In the 1950s, she started her career as an actress on stage in Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. In the 1950s, she acted as a stage artist in several Broadway shows before gaining her way into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner's debut in 1957. She also released her first album of music, It's Time For Tina that same year. Louise began her journey into Hollywood as Griselda Walden on God's Small Acre, a dramatic film that debuted in 1958.The movie received wide acclaim as well as Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. She enrolled in Actors Studio, New York in the same time and was Lee Strasberg's teacher. In 1964, she signed to CBS and portrayed Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour continued to successfully move between Broadway and Hollywood playing a somber, sombre character against her famous image as the glamorous model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 & Sanctuary, although she established herself as a successful television director with several series including Supernatural as well as The 100. She was born in Essex on August 28, 1965 and her family moved to Toronto at the age of three and she continued to live there throughout her childhood and adolescence. Then she settled in Vancouver when she was chosen to play Samantha Carter.
