Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford is a British-born American musician, songwriter and guitarist who played lead guitar of the all-girl rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics allowed them to be noticed in the rock world. Though the group didn't have much success in the United States but they enjoyed huge popularity overseas. It was particularly true in Japan. Ford began a solo heavy metal career following the split of her band in 1979. After receiving voice lessons, Ford released her first self-titled album "Out for Blood" which was followed by "Dancin on the Edge". The albums of Ford were not particularly well-received and she stayed away for several years. Ford returned to the scene with her hit album 'Lita which was released in 1988. the single 'Kiss me Deadly' and the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever' were both big hit songs. Unfortunately, the success of her career was not lasting and over the course of several years, she was absent. Then she returned after the release of 'Black in 1995. Then she released 'Wicked wonderland' almost 15 years later. Her latest album was released Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
