Lisa Olivia Munn was conceived in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and is of Chinese origins, however her dad Winston Barrett Munn comes from an American family. Olivia was just two years old when her parents separated. Her family consisted of her stepfather and mother, both of whom who was also a United States Air Force member. The family left Oklahoma and moved to several places, but she spent most of her life in Tokyo. In that period, she was involved in many local productions of theater and went on to become a Japanese Fashion Model. Olivia moved back her home to Los Angeles after the family's relocation back to this part of the United States. She pursued the dream of becoming an actress. Her acting journey began by playing a minor role. It was then that her acting career began to take off after she was cast in the role of Mily Acuna on the Hawaii-lensed TV show Beyond the Break (2006). In 2007 she portrayed Rob Schneider's receptionist. She is the host of G4's podcasts "The Daily Nut" along with "Formula D". Following the TV show Beyond the Break, she continues to browse. Additionally, she has earned an black belt in Taekwondo. The woman she married was her mother at the age of two years old to an Air Force officer. Her family was primarily from Tokyo, Japan where her stepfather worked. She completed her journalism studies in the University of Oklahoma and also majored in Japanese as well as dramatic arts and drama.
