Hayley Orrantia is an American performer, actress and songwriter. The majority of people recognize the name as Erica Goldberg, from the television comedy 'The Goldbergs. She believes that she is a musician first and foremost. Music has always been her first passion. At the age 12, she had taken music seriously enough to begin training professionally. After some experimentation with songwriting, she only recorded her first album of songs at age fourteen. There hasn't been a turning around since. Orrantia was born in the USA and yet she holds Hispanic heritage. She has Hispanic roots even though she only spoke English as a child and spent her entire life in America. In order to maintain her heritage, she's learned Spanish and created songs in that language. She recorded the Spanish version of a track entitled 'Hasta Verte. Orrantia was picked to perform for The X Factor's first season, which aired in summer the year 2011. Orrantia had been chosen by a panel of YouTube videos and got four "yeses," from judges who were in Seattle during live audition phase. Originally auditioning as a soloist, she and three female vocalists were placed together for the remaining auditions during "Hollywood Week". They were eliminated at the final show.
